SUBSCRIPTION COVER
WHAT YOU ARE COVERED FOR
As part of your subscription, SecureUs has arranged insurance cover on your behalf. If during the period of your subscription agreement you are no longer able to pay your required subscription obligation. as a result of your succumbing to either retrenchment, death or disability, SecureUs, through 1Life Insurance Limited (the Insurer) has insured the value of your outstanding subscription obligation.
PERIOD OF INSURANCE
Cover is for the duration of your subscription (either 12 or 24 months), provided you pay your monthly subscription fee on time.
WHAT EVENTS TO DO IN THE EVENT OF A CLAIM
Should an event occur which results in your death, disability or retrenchment, either you or your family must as soon as possible lodge a claim on the SecureUs application via your SecureUs agent.

You must submit all the documents needed for a claim within 30 days (refer to section below on the
required documents).
WHAT DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED
Death
Certified copy of your death certificate
Certified copy of your identity document.
Temporary or Permanent Total Disability
A written account of your position and the circumstances leading to the disability.
Doctor’s certificate confirming your condition.
For temporary disability, financial evidence that you have been financially affected due to the disability.
A further medical examination of you may be required, at no extra cost to yourself.
Retrenchment
A written account of your position and the circumstances leading to the retrenchment.
Official confirmation from your employer for the date and reason of the retrenchment.
During the continued period of unemployment, we will need monthly proof that you are still unemployed. Any costs incurred in securing this proof will be borne by yourself.
SPECIFIC CONDITIONS
Should you or your family fail to adequately provide the necessary documentation to confirm the circumstances causing your inability to pay your subscription fees, this will be viewed as a breach of obligations which may lead to a cancellation of this subscription agreement.
If your claim is rejected, there is a formal process you can follow. Refer to the policy wording for the details.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF COVER
You must fulfil all your obligations to keep your cover valid.
Either you or the Insurer can cancel the policy by giving 31 days’ notice.
Fraudulent claims, forged or false documents will not be tolerated.
You can’t transfer the contract to another person.
